Some experiments using silk fabric and plastic bags in order to capture the creases in a cast, for my latest work Homage to the Caryatids. The texture of the plastic bag looks light and portrays a skin-like texture, whereas silk has thicker strokes. The last picture portrays the fibers of the silk fabric in detail. Overall, even though rough and incomplete, the experiment has helped me decide my moulding material which will follow up in larger scale.
